Recipe: Moscow Mule

moscow muleI thought I would share KN’s secret recipe for a Moscow Mule just in time for the holidays (or just in time for cabin fever). After trying them at many, many, places (for research purposes only, of course) we determined that his recipe is definitely the best. He has tried different versions and now he’s nailed it, so we are sticking with it! We always have supplies on hand because winter is here, it’s dark at 4 and sometimes we’d rather just stay in, make up a mule, curl up on the couch and fall asleep at 9:05. …… Or and also, it’s football season and I don’t really follow football or understand it, but I like that drinking and eating pizza are closely related to it, so I drink my mule and wolf down pizza with no complaint “yay, go get ’em team!” {ugh, if they just didn’t throw that darn, little yellow flag so much, this game would be so much faster…}

  1. Tito's vodka, Barrow's Intense ginger liqueur, Fever Tree premium ginger beer, lots of ice, garnishes (lime slice, crystallized ginger cubes), real copper mugs
  1. Mix 3 parts vodka and 2 parts ginger liqueur in a shaker with ice and shake it baby.
  2. Fill copper mug with a lotta ice.
  3. Pour into mug over ice, about half way.
  4. Top off with ginger beer.
  5. Garnish with a lime slice and a snappy straw.
  6. Enjoy!
